JOBTRANS is a joint and cooperative effort between the City of Fond du Lac, Fond du Lac Area Transit, and a Taxi contractor to offer access to public transportation to all areas of the City of Fond du Lac presently not served by bus service.What is JOBTRANS? JOBTRANS is a general public shared ride taxi arrangement between Fond du Lac Area Transit and a private city taxi company for individuals within the City of Fond du Lac who reside or wish to travel more than 3/4 mile from a fixed bus route and within a designated JOBTRANS service area. JOBTRANS marketing objective is work commuting but is available for any purpose. Who is eligible to use JOBTRANS? Any person within the City of Fond du Lac whose pickup or drop off points are more than 3/4 mile from a fixed bus route and within a designated JOBTRANS service area. Where can I find JOBTRANS service area information? By calling JOBTRANS at 322-3656 or 322-3650 (24 hrs) and asking for JOBTRANS information, or by writing: Fond du Lac Area Transit, P.O. Box 150, Fond du Lac, WI 54936-0150. What are JOBTRANS days and hours of service? City of Fond du Lac: Monday through Friday 5:45am to 6:45pm Village of North Fond du Lac: Monday through Friday 5:45am to 5:45pm Saturday 7:45am - 5:45pm No Saturday, Sunday or holiday service in the City of Fond du Lac. No Sunday or holiday service in the Village of North fond du Lac. There are three special JOBTRANS major holiday service exceptions: JOBTRANS will operate in the city and village when fixed route buses do not operate from 12:00 to 6:45pm the one-half day before Christmas Day and the one-half day before New Years Day and 5:45am to 6:45pm on Good Friday. How do I schedule a JOBTRANS trip? Call JOBTRANS by 4:30 p.m. the weekday before. Same day requests will be accommodated as vehicle schedule and capacity permits. When calling, give the information where you wish to travel and the time. What does JOBTRANS cost? Ages 6 to 64: $4.00 or $3.25 if a person holds a regular FDLAT fixed route unlimited monthly bus ride pass. Children less than six (6) years old accompanied by an adult: $2.00. Seniors 65 years and over and the disabled holding a FDLAT Special Fare Card: $2.00.
